60 Funny Rap Lyrics: Friends, Birthdays, Roasts

60 original, clean rap couplets for best friends, birthdays, family, coworkers, couples and roasts. Each fits a verse in a 12-second video, plus short hooks.

Kiravu TeamKiravu Team

Need a few funny bars for a group chat, a birthday or a friendly roast? Here are 60 original rap couplets we wrote ourselves. They're clean, short and made to be performed. No real song lyrics, no lines from real artists.

Every couplet is 22 words or fewer, so each one fits a single verse in a standard 12-second AI rap video. Pick one for verse 1, another for verse 2, add a short hook, and you have a full script.

How to use these lines

In a Kiravu duo video, person 1 raps verse 1 and person 2 raps verse 2. Each verse works best at about 16 to 22 words. Then you both shout or sing a short hook together at the end, one to six words.

So a full video is:

  • Verse 1: one couplet from this list
  • Verse 2: a second couplet (same group or a comeback)
  • Hook: two to four words you'd yell across a room

Swap in real names, places and inside jokes wherever you can. A line about "your fries" gets a smile. A line about "the fries you stole at Dan's party" gets a laugh.

In Kiravu, the Roast topic turns the two performers toward each other so they trade lines like a rap battle. Pair it with the Battle stage (underground, red spotlights) on the AI rap battle generator, or go harder with the diss track generator.

Short hooks (1 to 4 words)

The hook is what you both shout together at the end. Short wins. Some to steal:

  • "Day ones forever!"
  • "Happy birthday, legend!"
  • "Cake time!"
  • "Family first!"
  • "Out of office!"
  • "Team win!"
  • "Still my favorite!"
  • "Pay me back!"
  • "Love you anyway!"
  • "Group chat legends!"
  • "Snack thief!"
  • "Back to work!"

Write your own in five minutes

The best lines are the ones only your friends understand. Here's a quick way to write one:

  1. Pick one habit. Always late, steals fries, sings in the car, never answers texts.
  2. Write the setup line. Say the habit plainly: "You said you'd be there at eight."
  3. Write the punchline. Exaggerate it and end on a word that rhymes with the setup: "it's ten, and your text says you're running late." If the rhyme feels forced, rewrite both lines until it sounds natural.
  4. Count the words. Aim for 16 to 22 across both lines. Cut filler like "really", "just" and "like".
  5. Read it out loud. If you stumble, the AI performer will rush too. Smooth it out.
  6. Add a name or place. Specific beats general every time.

A few rules keep it fun for everyone. Punch at habits, not at bodies, looks, background or anything someone can't change. Only use photos of people who said yes. And if a line might hurt, cut it. Funny should leave everyone laughing, including the person in the joke.

Turn a couplet into a video

Once you have your lines:

  1. Open Kiravu and pick Duo, One photo, or Solo mode.
  2. Upload clear, front-facing selfies with good light.
  3. Choose a topic, then paste your couplets into verse 1 and verse 2 and add your hook.
  4. Pick a stage (house party for birthdays, Battle stage for roasts, the orange booth for the Hotel Lobby AI look) and a beat.
  5. Render. A standard song (12 seconds at 720p) is 10 credits and usually takes 2–5 minutes.

You get a short vertical MP4 with no watermark, ready for TikTok, Reels, Shorts or the group chat. For the full walkthrough with photo tips, read how to make an AI rap video. Need a stage name to go with it? Try the free rap name generator.
